Goals and objectives:
1. Develop and oversee internal and external communications for the organization, including alliance and media relations, marketing activities, and online communications.
2. Promote awareness of the goals and expertise of the organization outside of the membership.
3. Work in conjunction with the education and research committees to organize, develop, and promote access to electronic resources for the education, training and advancement of research among GMDI members.
4. Oversee management and upgrades of the GMDI website.
Activities:
1. Regular e-blast updates to members regarding important issues pertaining to GMDI and metabolic disorders
2. Facilitating job postings on the website
3. Updating and maintaining a dynamic GMDI website that provides timely information to members to address their professional and informational needs
4. Engaging in information dissemination about advocacy efforts on behalf of the clinical population that GMDI members serve
Future Plans:
Develop a plan to engage international metabolic nutritionists in the mission and activities of GMDI
